Customization & Branding
AnythingLLM lets you change how the app looks, from the theme and colors you work in to, on Docker, the name, logo and links your whole team sees.

UI Preferences
Open Settings → Customization → UI Preferences. These settings are personal: they change the app for you, not for anyone else.
Theme
Choose Light, Dark, or System to follow your operating system's setting.
Color palettes
A color palette gives the whole app your colors: the background, sidebar, chat and settings, in both light and dark mode. Pick one of the built-in palettes, including True Dark with pure black backgrounds, or click New palette to create your own from two colors:
- a main color, which tints the background, sidebar and content
- an accent, for buttons and links
The whole app previews a palette while you pick its colors. Edit or delete your palettes at any time.
- Desktop: the palette you click is the one the app uses. The assistant and Magic Beacon windows and the boot screen use it too. Available since v1.19.0.
- Docker: you pick from the built-in palettes and the ones your admin has created. Admins create palettes, and can choose one for everyone, on the Colors tab of Branding & Whitelabeling.
Display language
Choose the language AnythingLLM's interface is shown in, where translations are available.
Your name (Desktop only)
The name AnythingLLM greets you with on the home screen. Leave it blank to turn off personalized greetings.
Default window (Desktop only)
Choose what opens when AnythingLLM starts: the main window, the assistant, or nothing, so it starts silently in the background.
Branding & Whitelabeling (Docker only)
Admins and managers can brand an AnythingLLM instance for everyone who uses it. Open Settings → Customization → Branding & Whitelabeling. Settings are grouped into tabs:

Identity (Docker only)
Set the app name shown on the login page, and replace the AnythingLLM logo on the login page and throughout the app with your own. In this example, a green square image is used for demonstration purposes.
Colors (Docker only)
Create the color palettes everyone on the instance can choose from, and click a palette to make it the default for everyone. Changes save as soon as you make them.
Enforce the default palette makes everyone use the default palette. When it's off, users can pick their own palette under UI Preferences or in their account settings.
Sidebar (Docker only)
Replace the footer icons with your own links and icons, to give quick access to relevant resources or web pages. You can also set the support email users see.
Browser (Docker only)
Set the title and favicon shown on the browser tab.
